THE REGULATION ON STRAY ANIMALS APPEARED IN OVER ONE AND A HALF MILLION MEDIA CONTENTS; ARTISTS WERE THE MOST VOCAL ABOUT THE REGULATION

Tensions in the media rose following the adoption of a bill addressing regulations for stray animals in the Turkish Parliament’s commission. The regulation, which became Turkey’s top agenda item, was mentioned in 1,667,000 media pieces throughout July.
According to measurement data from the Newscope platform, which scans 152 million news sites and 40 social media networks across 197 countries, there were 1,667,000 news pieces on social media regarding the regulation in July alone. 63.4% of users approached the bill from a critical perspective, while it was observed that 57,000 independent users generated content on the topic.
ARTISTS WERE THE MOST VOCAL PROFESSION ON THE REGULATION
According to data obtained from Newscope, Artists and Designers were the most vocal professions discussing the regulation throughout July, accounting for 33.9% of all mentions. Other top five professions discussing the regulation were Entrepreneurs, Politicians, Engineers, and Teachers, respectively.
Demographic details of the report reveal that male users contributed to 68.1% of all content, while female users accounted for 31.9%. The 25-34 age group was the most engaged in the discussion. The regulation in Turkey also received significant coverage in the media of the United States, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and the United Kingdom.
